Well I want to start entering DH races with the bike that I get, but I'd want to be able to tackle a bit of uphill, jumps and drops. I think Im looking at more of a freeride bike... I mean could you use a freeride bike for a dh race?

I have never ridden a nicer fork than my 40. Stiff, tunable, and soo responsive

why didnt they put one of r.s higher end forks on it like a totem
Well for starters the SS is a 6.5 inch travel bike and it's already expensive. In order to save some money but still get over 6" of travel from a fork and have it work really well we went with a Domain. Domains are like the work horse fork-burly, strong and gonna last.

Never lived out there, but the the company I work for was acquired by Kronos, and they are in Chelmsford.
